The London Helicopter Lanes are specified helicopter routes which allow you to fly through London Heathrow’s airspace, and allowing quick access to Battersea Heliport.
It’s an amazing view of some of the greatest sites in the capital, as you fly along the Thames from East or West.
It can be quite a trial, the first time you fly the Heli-Lanes, even as a qualified helicopter pilot. Precise navigation, accurate flying, and slick radio are all required if you’re to make it work safely so close to Heathrow Airport.
